The Nigerian In Me

Hello, welcome to Everything fabulous with Mo, its been ages, and I'm excited to be sharing this with you. Very soon I'll share my reasons for ghosting, but till then enjoy.

I'm going to be talking about things i do which feels like a Nigerian thing. I'm supposed to have posted this since April.

The Nigerian in me is quick to say God Forbid

I don't know why but every time someone mentions something bad around me, I'm quick to say God forbid. like

somebody: "you're mad"

Me: "God Forbid"

The Nigerian in me likes to price things

I don't know if this is really a Nigerian thing, but I always want to price things and i exaggerate. Banana seller: This banana is N400

Me: AH mummy you want to sell me?

The Nigerian in me is superstitious enough to not tempt things no matter how much I say I don't believe in them.

Them: Don't pass there, you'll turn to a chicken.

me:(in my head) I don't believe, but I'm not passing there sha in case I turn to chicken.

The Nigerian in me is scared of strange cars

This one is not my fault oh. As a child, there were a lot of stories about people being kidnapped by strange cars. When I enter there's the thought that a calabash could be under and they will kidnap somebody's enemy.

The Nigerian In me say "my enemy" at bad things.

like trying to portray a bad scenario

Me: " God forbid o, let's imagine, my enemy broke her leg.

The Nigerian in me is loud and hates loud people

Honestly, I'm not that loud oh, but I use to make noise. Just don't make noise beside me.

The Nigerian in me is quick to change it for people.

Please mind your business abi you want to see crazy?

The Nigerian in me likes money. Please spray me money, I love money.

The Nigerian in me hates disrespect. Please we're not friends don't talk to me anyhow.

The Nigerian in me is tired.

The Nigerian in me loves drama. Please fight, do something to make me laugh. I can cause drama too sha.

The Nigerian in me likes hearing blessings.

Somebody: don't worry you'll have money.

Me:
